As part of our bund remediation package, we offer a service to fully structural test your bunded area to ensure compliance.  When we supply a team of technicians to site, we:

• Carry out visual defects/condition survey of the concrete bund.
• Mark all defects on cad drawings and cross-reference with defect schedules.
• Colour code and prioritise all defects.
• Set-up various test site locations and at each carry out:-
  • Cover and spacing survey
  • Chloride content and carbonation depth tests
  • Porosity testing
  • Half-cell potential testing
• Issue a comprehensive report giving results of above together with recommended remedial measure options and budget rated bills of quantities in full colour hard copy and cd rom format

As part of our bund maintenance package, we offer the option of a full bund clean down by our team.

After our initial survey, the team will dewater the bund (through filter packs if contaminants are present) and, with degreasing agents, fully clean down the bund.

Darcy install protective linings to new concrete bunds and/or to refurbish and re-line existing bunds in line the required regulations.

The lining systems we offer range from HDPE (high density polyethylene) to modified epoxy and highly chemical resistant urethane and vinyl systems.

The solution that we can provide will differ from site to site in line with access, budgets and requirements.

• HDPE
  • High density polyethylene is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum, with a high overall chemical resistance, that is a cost effective solution to lining of both large and small bunded areas. Therefore is designed to provide a proven solution for your storage containment needs on site. As well as the advantage of being extremely durable and can be retrofitted to numerous applications.
• Higher performance resin
  • We offer a full range of high performance resin systems to suit a wide range of applications. The systems are all fully bonded and many offer crack bridging capabilities. The resins (which are liquid applied) cure to form a seamless lining impermeable to oil and water (chemical resistant where applicable).  As well as being an excellent alternative to HDPE lining, our resin system range can be finished in a variety of colours to suit each job on a site by site basis.

The Darcy envirobund is a completely versatile and environmentally compliant secondary containment system that offers up to a 40% saving when compared with blockwork and concrete.

Our envirobund is made from modular galvanised steel panels and features a no dig option for cost effective installation around existing tanks and pipework.

This tried and tested secondary containment system is in successful operation across the uk.

envirobund can be fitted with a bund water control unit which will automatically remove rainwater (but no oil)

From the bund in an environmentally safe manner and maintain the capacity of the bund in line with oil storage regulations.

To maintain 110% bund capacity you will need a mechanism to extract non-contaminated water from the bund. 

Darcy have developed a range of bund dewatering systems and bund water control units to remove water from bunds.  These greatly reduce waste management costs and have an excellent return on investment.
