PPG (POLLUTION PREVENTION GUIDELINE) 3 STATES THAT:
• “ALL SEPARATORS SHALL BE FITTED WITH A DEVICE TO PROVIDE VISUAL AND AUDIBLE WARNING ..WHEN THE LEVEL OF THE SEPARATOR REACHES 90% OF THE OIL STORAGE VOLUME UNDER STATIC WATER LEVEL CONDITIONS”
• “IT SHALL BE FITTED, TESTED AND COMMISSIONED BY AN INSTALLER APPROVED BY THE MANUFACTURE OF THE DEVICE”
AT DARCY, WE OFFER A 12 MONTH ON SITE WARRANTY ON ALL ALARMS THAT ARE INSTALLED AND COMMISSIONED BY OUR TEAM OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS, TO ENSURE COMPLETE COMPLIANCE WITH PPG3 FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.
SEPARATOR ALARM INSTALLATION SERVICE
- Install the junction box within the Separator
- Install the control panel and terminate cables, between the Separator and
Monitor (Power and telecommunication cables to control room by others) - Calibrate the probes correctly in relation to each probe, either high oil
probe, high liquid, or silt probe. - If GSM Separator Alarm, installation engineer, will test and validate radio
signal, and install SIM card, to nominated phone - Solar power system, install Hot dip galvanised frame to concrete base (by
others)
SEPARATOR ALARM SERVICING
As well as the installation and commissioning of separator alarms, we also offer a service agreement service in line with PPG3.
EN-858-1-2 states that your alarm should be inspected in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations to enable the unit to perform to its maximum capacity.
We offer a parts inclusive service agreement that ensures that your unit is in full working order and any replacement parts are covered within our agreement.
THE SERVICE WE OFFER INCLUDES:-
- Annual inspection by one of our team of electrical engineers
- Testing of all parts of the unit, and associated cabling to the probe unit (if
applicable) - Calibration testing of probes
- Re-calibration (if required) of probes to correct depth (90% of static water level)
- All replacement parts included within our price
- Unlimited call outs to you unit within the 12 month period
- Full report and certification after the visit has been undertaken to update the H&S files on site.
