Atex Approved Bund Water Control Unit
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The probe sensors detect the difference between oil and water and safely pump only water* out of the bund into the surface water drainage system. At all times failsafe features will warn you of any risk of a potential pollution incident. The control panel turns the submersible pump on and off at the appropriate levels and warns of high water and excess oil levels in the sump, and power failure. The alarms can also be linked to a site telemetry system.
* rainwater containing less than 5mg of oil per litre of water (5 parts per million)
BUND CONTROL UNIT
The standard system is supplied complete with a control unit and a combined pump/probe assembly. The control unit is capable of monitoring the probe unit to automatically empty the bund of water when the water level rises to the start probe, leaving any pollutant behind. The status is displayed via a liquid crystal display but due to this being inside the enclosure, it is advisable to utilise a local beacon/sounder and/or connect the output relays to a BMS system.
